🔸 What is a Switch?

  • A switch is a device that connects multiple devices within the same network (like computers, printers) and helps them communicate directly.

  • It works inside your home or office network.


🔹 Real-Life Example:

  • Think of a switch as a smart traffic controller inside your office.

  • It directs data only to the device that needs it, instead of sending it everywhere.


🔸 What Does a Switch Do?

  • It connects devices using cables (Ethernet).

  • When one device sends data, the switch sends it only to the device it’s meant for, based on MAC addresses.
